Wings Over the Rockies is the honest aviation day when you want metal, not a four-hour documentary. Pick two airplanes, find a cockpit you can peek at, then go outside and point at the sky.
Effort, for real
- Indoor, level floors, loud in a good way
- Time: 90 minutes is a win
- Gift shop: decide the dollar cap in the parking lot
How to run the visit
- Let someone else choose the first plane. You choose the second.
- Ask one question per aircraft: “Where would you sit?”
- Snack before the energy cliff, not after the jet exhibit
If the tiny model jets steal the show, that is still aviation. You can add Centennial Airport fence-watching another Saturday.
